The great thing about the college system is that anyone can get involved and make a difference. If you want to change something about the way College is run then can get involved with the JCR.
About
The JCR Committee are an annually elected group of undergraduates that work to represent the interests of Churchill’s undergraduate student body both within the College and to Cambridge University Students’ Union (CUSU).
Meetings
The JCR meets once a fortnight through Full Term (until the exams) to discuss matters of interest to undergraduates and to formulate policy. These Open Meetings are the sovereign body of the JCR and any member is entitled to attend, to vote and to propose motions. Open Meeting decisions can only be reversed by later Open Meetings. Motions, proposed by two members, must be given to the Secretary at least 24 hours before the meeting. The student newsletter — Winston, contains the agenda and minutes of Open Meetings and information and comment on current issues for all Churchill students.
