After graduation Paul worked for six years in the recruitment sector, including three years running his own boutique consultancy. Subsequently, he career changed into Accountancy and Strategic Finance. He obtained his ACA qualification with PWC before embarking on his career with several large PLCs. He has managed the UK Commercial Finance for Kleenex and Huggies brands turning around declining financial performance through pricing and product strategies. Most recently he was the Financial Controller for BT’s Broadband division (responsible for a £1.5Bn P&L). He is shortly joining a start-up disruptor in the Retail Energy Sector as their CFO.
Outside of this he has worked with several tech start-ups including most recently a Tennis App and supported them in their initial ramp-up phase including the initial business modelling that was used to attract the first round of institutional investors and to get Andy Murray onboard as an advocate and investor. He has worked with other tech start-ups in a similar capacity and provided consultancy services to local SMEs to improve their controls, processes, scalability and ultimately profitability.
