Ron Sandford

Enterprise Competition Judge and undergraduate from 1965-68 in Engineering

After a short career in marketing, engineering and finance in both large and small organisations, I set up, managed and then sold several businesses, including a very successful software company in the 1980’s.

Enterprise is a key driver of economic development, for individuals as well as globally. Individual enterprise is not necessarily driven by product or service innovation, but by the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities. The skill, therefore, is in recognising opportunities and knowing how to capitalise on them in the real world. I focus on the realities of identifying the opportunities, driving the development process in the real world and developing solid foundations for growth and personal fulfilment.
