Student Hub
Usually we would be delighted to welcome your school to Churchill or to come and see you and your pupils in your setting. The University as a whole will not be engaging in face-to-face outreach activity until the first few months of next year. So we have set up these Virtual School/College Visits.
This session provides information and guidance about making a strong application. It includes material on preparing for Admissions Assessments and Interviews. There are also some top tips for interview and some sample interviews (these were students who had completed their first term at Churchill).
There are a number of video resources below, which we think will be helpful for this topic. Of these, you can choose the ones which that are of an appropriate length and that are particularly relevant to your school/college.
Further videos can also be found on our YouTube channel and, in particular, the Virtual Churchill playlist. So do have a look at these to further customise your 'visit'.
In addition to these videos, you will find some further online resources and Virtual Tours below. We hope you can use the resources to create a tailor-made Virtual School/College Visit that will offer appropriate information and guidance to your pupils.
For example, a visit might include:
- 'Welcome to Churchill'
- 'What characteristics do we look for in prospective students?'
- 'Admissions Assessments'
- 'Interviews'
- 'Top Tips for Interviews: Arts and Humanities - General'
- 'Top Tips for Interviews: Science'
- An Interview video
This would take 65-70 minutes, plus some time exploring the Assessments website.
You will find information about our Admissions Tutors and Student Ambassador live Q&As here:
Our events and Open Days will also be advertised here:
