FELLOW TYPE

Postdoctoral By-Fellows

Ying Liu is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on developing advanced nucleic acid-based biotechnologies to investigate molecular interactions in complex biological systems.

Prior to joining the Department of Chemistry, Ying served as a Research Assistant Professor at the Southern University of Science and Technology (China), where she specialized in the development and application of nanomaterials for nucleic acid detection. She earned her PhD in Organic Chemistry from Peking University in 2016, with a research focus on target identification using DNA-encoded libraries.

Following her PhD, Ying spent three years in the healthcare investment sector and one year as a Senior Scientist at Apostle Inc. (USA). Her current work explores the interactions between small-molecule drugs and nucleic acids, aiming to advance our understanding of molecular recognition and its applications in drug discovery and diagnostics.
