Dr Stefanie Geringer is a Schrödinger Fellow of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Tax Law, Faculty of Law, at the University of Vienna, where she obtained her Doctorate in Laws (Dr.iur.) in 2022. She has been engaged as a Research Fellow in Vienna since 2018, funded under different independently secured third-party schemes. She is also an Affiliated Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Financial Law and Economics, Faculty of Law, at Masaryk University. Alongside her academic work, Stefanie is a Certified Tax Adviser under Austrian professional law and works as a Manager Tax at BDO Austria.

Stefanie is passionate about translating her research into practical applications and policy recommendations. She has contributed to studies commissioned by the European Commission and frequently collaborates with non-profit organisations engaged in tax policy work. Stefanie is equally enthusiastic about expanding the relevance of her work beyond the confines of her discipline and continuously seeks exchanges with related fields such as public law, public finance, and digital governance
