Tasters and Applicant Events

Activities to help prospective undergraduates find out more about subjects, applications and College.

Our Undergraduate Outreach and Admissions Team run events across the year to help interested students find out more about making a strong application, identify which subjects might be right for them, and to get a sense of what Cambridge and College life is like.

We also host school visits, typically for those schools in our Link areas (Sussex, Surrey, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Mid- and South-Wales). Teachers can join our mailing list to find out more.

Undergraduate Open Days

Our next College Open Days coincide with the University’s Open Days in 2025. More information about these dates will be uploaded here nearer the time.

Thursday 10th and Friday 11th July

Our general approach to these days is to welcome visitors any time to explore College and meet our lovely Admissions Tutors, Directors of Studies, and undergraduate ambassadors.

You don’t need to book to attend Churchill’s Open Days. However, if you want to book for other Cambridge University provision happening the same days then head over to Cambridge Open Days.

We look forward to meeting you – more information will be shared in due course.

Webinars and online Q&A sessions

We hold regular free online live presentations and question and answer sessions for prospective students, covering aspects of the Cambridge admissions process. These variously feature our Admissions Tutors, access and outreach team, and current undergraduates.

This year’s series of online webinars will run on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5-6pm via Zoom. They aim to provide help and guidance to high-achieving students who are looking to apply to academically competitive universities, such as the University of Cambridge. The webinars are aimed at prospective applicants in Year 12 – 13, but teachers, parents and supporters are welcome to join as well.

Each webinar will run twice. The schedule for this year is as follows:

    • Find out more about what Admissions Tutors are looking for
