The Royal Academy of Engineering is seeking talented and enthusiastic students for the third year of Engineering a Better World Internships.

  • Fully funded work placement
  • 6-8 weeks (8 weeks preferred)
  • Open to Phys/Bio Natsci, Maths, Comp Sci, Engineers, Chem Eng
  • Applications from JCR and MCR welcomed
  • JCR recommended to apply for the summer after 2+ years of studies
  • Deadline Extended: Tuesday 8 Feb 2023 12pm (GMT)

What could I be doing on an EABW internship?

  • Support entrepreneurs with technical assistance
  • Enable exchange of knowledge through partnership
  • First-hand experience of working in multicultural teams to solve practical problems and use creativity to address real, meaningful challenges
  • Inspiration for pursuing a career in challenge-led innovation for sustainable development
  • Previous EABW projects:
    • Modifying the STEM curriculum for school students in Kenya.
    • Designing and manufacturing water metering systems in Tanzania.
    • Providing distributed renewable energy services in Zambia.
    • Machine-learning and data analysis at a fintech startup in Kenya
