André Guerra is a Royal Society Newton International Fellow affiliated with the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics (DPMMS). He received a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Oxford in 2021 and, before coming to Cambridge, he was a member of the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and Junior Fellow at the Institute for Theoretical Studies in ETH Zürich. His research deals with problems arising in the Calculus of Variations, a broad field at the intersection of pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and physics.
