Fabian is a Feodor Lynen Research Fellow and an Isaac Newton Trust Early Career Fellow at the Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry, where he collaborates with Prof. Angelos Michaelides. His research is centered around gaining a simulation-based understanding of the characteristics of a novel materials class known as single atom alloys. Previously, he earned his Ph.D. in theoretical chemistry at Humboldt University, working in Prof. Joachim Sauer’s group, where he investigated hydrocarbon reactions in zeolite catalysts.
