Isabelle is a Research Associate in the group of Professor Sarah Bohndiek based in the Department of Physics. Her work focuses on using optical imaging to improve early cancer detection, with a particular interest in developing and testing in the clinic hyperspectral endoscopy, to achieve better detection of oesophageal cancer in patients at higher risk of developing the disease. She did her PhD in France, where she used curved sensors to enable wide-field optical imaging of the brain. She has previously worked on experimentally studying properties of quantum tunnelling at the University of Toronto.
