Jeffrey is a physicist working in industry on research and development in medical devices. He holds a PhD in physics from Queen’s University in Canada and has worked since 2012 on development of a wide range of medical technologies, including diagnostics instrumentation, drug delivery devices, surgical instruments, and dialysis and apheresis systems.
After doctoral research in experimental atomic and molecular physics, he spent 8.5 years working as a consultant for PA Consulting, working in a range of roles for diverse clients, from start-ups to biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Since 2020, he has managed the Systems Integration team for point-of-care diagnostics technology company LumiraDx, which became part of Roche in 2024.
He continues to work in point-of-care diagnostics instrumentation R&D for Roche. Starting in October 2024, Jeffrey joined Churchill College as a Teaching By-Fellow in Physical Sciences.
