Katherine studied Natural Sciences at Churchill, specialising in chemistry, followed by a PhD in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance methodology. She is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and a Director of Studies at Churchill, as well as Senior Treasurer of the Boat Club. Her research is focused on the biophysical properties of intrinsically disordered proteins, for which she uses multiple biophysical techniques. Her departmental role includes directing the Biophysics Facility, and organising the Part III Biochemistry course.
