Dr. Svetlana Besklubova is a Research Assistant Professor in Digital Twins at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Engineering. Holding a PhD from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, her research focuses on smart construction, integrating 3D printing technologies, Digital Twins, carbon-neutral practices, and construction waste management. With over 30 publications in high-impact journals such as Automation in Construction and Sustainable Production and Consumption, Dr. Besklubova has earned international recognition, including multiple “Best Paper” and “Best Presenter” awards at prestigious conferences. Her work, supported by significant research grants, involves global collaborations with institutions in the USA, UK, Europe, and Hong Kong. As an active mentor, she supervises PhD and MSc students (47 students), fostering innovative research in construction engineering. Dr. Besklubova also contributes to the academic community through editorial roles, conference organization, and invited talks worldwide.
