I grew up in Germany and graduated from the University of Heidelberg. I moved to Britain in 1989 and since then have taught German in Adult Education and University context. I have taught undergraduate students in the German Department in Cambridge and for various colleges for many years, and since 2015 I hold the position of German Teacher at the University’s Language Centre. Currently I supervise post A-Level or ab initio undergraduates in German, for oral work in their first and second year respectively; I also supervise second-year students fortnightly for Prose Composition classes (translation into German). My interests include bilingualism, and German grammar and its teaching.
