Matthew Ireland is a Computer Scientist with interests in hardware, robotics and signal processing. His current projects include software techniques to enable high-precision RF measurements, and engineering scalable robot swarms. In the past he has worked in the field of micromachining, using computer vision for high-speed measurement during the manufacturing process.

As a Teaching By-Fellow at Churchill, Matthew supervises undergraduates in courses across all three years of the Computer Science Tripos, and co-ordinates the College’s Computer Science talks and discussion evenings. Matthew is also the Praelector at Churchill College, with responsibility for presentation of candidates for degrees of the University.
