Postdoctoral By-Fellows,

Physilia Chua is a molecular ecologist who leverages cutting-edge DNA techniques to explore ecological questions and address the issue of biodiversity loss. During her PhD, Physilia was a Marie-Curie PhD Fellow at the Globe Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where she used environmental DNA to shed light on the diet of the western capercaillies. Currently, Physilia is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where her research on the BIOSCAN project aims to uncover the diversity of flying insects in the UK and disentangle the complex relationships between insects and their environment through molecular means.
