Anna’s research focuses on work and employment, as well as the social dimensions of technology, business, and sustainability. She has a with a particular interest in inequalities and social justice. Anna is a Sustainability Advocate at Churchill College.

Anna is currently exploring how artificial intelligence can be used for social good through collaborations with institutions in Nepal and Uganda. This work forms part of the EQUATE project which is researching pathways to more equitable language AI.

Anna has led research on living wages, circular economy, and youth employment. She works with policymakers, NGOs, investors, and corporations. Her work has been featured at the World Economic Forum in Davos and has informed international efforts to promote decent work, including with the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Earlier research projects of hers include studies on austerity in the UK, attitudes to international inequality, infectious disease and forced migration. Anna was previously the Prince of Wales Fellow in Global Sustainability at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and has worked as a Technical Specialist at the ILO.

Anna is Co-Director of the Business Fights Poverty Institute, a consultant to the ILO, and an associate of the Young Lives project. She is on the Steering Committee of the University of Cambridge Centre for Human-Inspired Artificial Intelligence and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
