Ray Goldstein is the Schlumberger Professor of Complex Physical Systems in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Educated at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Cornell, he has worked in statistical physics, nonlinear dynamics, fluid dynamics, and geophysics.

His research interests focus on dynamical problems in biological physics, with particular emphasis on aspects of evolutionary biology, involving both experiment and theory.
