Prof. Yang Wang is a Professor in the College of Information and Electrical Engineering at China Agricultural University (https://faculty.cau.edu.cn/wy_9157/), China, where he leads the Young Scientist Innovation Group for Green Energy & Smart Agri/Aquaculture, and is a deputy director of EU-China Center for ICT in Agriculture and National Digital Fisheries Innovation Center. He joined the NanoEngineering group (https://www.nanoengineering.eng.cam.ac.uk/people) in the Department of Engineering, Cambridge University, as a Visiting Professor in July 2025. From November 2025, he has been awarded as a By-Fellow of Churchill College.
Yang received his Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Technical University of Munich, Germany. His current research focuses on agri/aquacultural environment intelligent monitoring, modelling and precise prediction, agricultural crop and fish growth modelling, and green energy applications in facility agri/aquaculture. In particular, he investigates the relationship between agricultural crop/fish growth and environment.
He is an Associate Fellow of the HEA. Outside of work, Yang’s favorites include playing badminton, music etc.
