Over recent years the resources for MML students, not just in Churchill, have become constrained. Many MML alumni will have benefited from the support of a grant from the University’s Vacation Study Fund for a course at a language school, but that fund sadly no longer exists. Students from less affluent backgrounds, in particular, are thus missing out on opportunities that were readily available for earlier generations.

In the light of this, Professor Alison Finch and Professor Andrew Webber are providing initial endowment for a fund for Churchill students of modern languages.
