Welcome!

August 2023

Dear Churchill Postgraduate students,

A very warm welcome to Churchill College!  Postgraduates are central to the activities of the College as an academic community within the University of Cambridge.  Collectively, our postgraduates are a diverse and distinguished group of scholars, hailing from all parts of the globe.  We know how hard you have worked to arrive in Cambridge, and we look forward to supporting your future success!

At the time of writing, the college is seeking to appoint a new Senior Postgraduate Tutor. The new post-holder will be announced shortly, but in the meantime please be assured that individual Postgraduate Tutors and the Administrators can answer queries and assist you in settling in.

These web pages will help you familiarise yourself with the College, its facilities, and its societies and clubs.

Each postgraduate belongs to the MCR (Middle Common Room), which represents the interests of students, offers a rich selection of social events, and participates in college governance.  You can find information from the MCR officers about the welcome events elsewhere on these pages.  Please do get involved; it is a wonderful way to get to know your fellow students.

Each postgraduate student is assigned to a Tutor, who is available by email or in-person to answer queries and to support your academic progress.

The Postgraduate Office is staffed 8:30 – 16:00 Monday to Friday. Ms Rebecca Sawalmeh, our Postgraduate Administrator, can answer queries and assist with accommodation or visa paperwork etc. She can also be contacted at postgrad@chu.cam.ac.uk.

Please don’t hesitate to call on us.  We are always happy to help.
