Tasters and Applicant Events
Activities to help prospective undergraduates find out more about subjects, applications and College.
Our Undergraduate Outreach and Admissions Team run events across the year to help interested students find out more about making a strong application, identify which subjects might be right for them, and to get a sense of what Cambridge and College life is like.
This page is updated across the year as new webinars, taster days and other activities are announced.
We also host school visits, typically for those schools in our Link areas (Sussex, Surrey, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Mid- and South-Wales). Teachers can join our mailing list to find out more.

Overnight accommodation for Open Days
If you’re seeking overnight accommodation around a College or University Open Day, you can check availability at Churchill using the links on our Bed & Breakfast page. Note that this accommodation booking process will stipulate that all guests must be over 18. However, around Open Days, we can accommodate visitors of minimum age 16. Therefore, if you are 16 or 17, just mention this and the fact that you’re attending an Open Day in the Special Notes section of our booking process, so we can validate your booking. Please note that if you are 16 or 17, you must still be accompanied by an adult.
We can often accommodate overnight school or college groups around Open Days too, at a VAT exempt rate. To check availability and pricing, email [email protected] If we have availability, you’ll need to send a full rooming list, showing the names and roles (student or staff) of each attendee. We’ll also ask you to complete a VAT exemption form and send full payment in advance. Note that overnight school or college groups must be accompanied by an appropriate number of responsible adults.
