College Library Tours
Please email the library team to book a tour of the College Library. We are offering tours throughout Michaelmas Term at times to suit you. (Note to undergraduate Freshers, your tours are in subject groups, times will be listed in your Freshers’ programme.)
During the tour we will show you how to use the library catalogue (iDiscover) and how to find resources for your subject in the College Library. We will also give you our top tips for making the most of the wider network of world-class libraries and resources available to you as a member of Cambridge University. The University has over 100 libraries, plus online collections of more than 1.2 million ebooks, 130,000 ejournal titles and 400 databases.
Library tours are not compulsory, but they are highly recommended; up to 95 percent of our new students usually come along. While tours will be especially useful to new students, all College members are welcome!
Tours will occur in small groups, lead by a member of library staff, and usually take about half an hour (though we can give you a quicker intro if needed!
The meeting point for the tour is outside the Bracken Library in Wolfson Hall.
