Lord Robertson will be taking a look at the impact of the war in Ukraine and its possible legacies for European cooperation and defence.  

The Annual John Antcliffe Lecture is organised in association with the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS), and was established following a donation in the name of John Antcliffe, who studied History at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, before going on to become a respected public relations professional.  For further information, and to register for this free event, see the POLIS event page.

The Rt Hon Lord Robertson of Port Ellen

George Islay MacNeill Robertson, KT GCMG PC FRSA FRSE (born 12 April 1946), was Secretary of State for Defence under the Labour Government of Tony Blair from 1997 to 1999, before becoming a life peer as Baron Robertson of Port Ellen, of Islay in Argyll and Bute, in 1999.  He served as the 10th Secretary General of NATO from 1999 to 2003.
