Abigail is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Cell Signalling Group in the Department of Pharmacology, under the supervision of Professor Graham Ladds. Her research interests centre around receptor pharmacology, specifically the class of proteins known as the G protein-coupled receptors, and the study of their pleiotropic signalling pathways. She is currently investigating the adenosine A1 receptor, looking to manipulate its signalling output as a potential therapeutic strategy for the treatment of chronic pain.

Abigail completed her previous studies at the University of Cambridge, studying Natural Sciences before attaining a PhD in Pharmacology. She has also spent time working at AstraZeneca, in the Cell Biology and Immunology group, through a Flexible Talent Mobility Account.
