Vihari is a postdoctoral researcher with the Machine Learning Group of Engineering Department supervised by Dr Adrian Weller. He received his PhD in 2022 from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, which was supported by Google PhD Fellowship. He is passionate about building reliable and transparent Machine Learning applications. His research focuses on discovering alternative forms of human-to-machine and machine-to-human communication that engender more trust and control over machine learned models. He was a full-stack software developer for two years before starting his PhD in 2017. Outside research, you will find him traveling, hiking or camping and living up to his name, which translates to “the roamer”.
