Postdoctoral By-Fellows,

Hio-Ieng is a research associate at the Cavendish Laboratory in Cambridge. She received her PhD from Peking University in 2019 and was a visiting researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her research interests are the materials chemistry and the electronic and device physics of organic and hybrid organic-inorganic semiconductors. As the optoelectronic performance of organic semiconductors improves to the levels that enable industrial applications, organic semiconductors have integrated into our daily life and brought revolutionary changes to modern electronics industry and semiconductor science and technology. The investigation and development of the new class of hybrid materials will further open up a research platform full of countless opportunities for observing new scientific phenomena, expanding fundamental chemical and physical knowledge, and benefitting a broad range of future advanced applications in optoelectronics, energy storage, thermoelectrics, as well as bioelectronics, eventually.
