Professor Gian Guzmán-Verri 

Gian Guzmán-Verri is a Professor of Physics at the School of Physics at the University of Costa Rica. His research focuses on Condensed Matter Physics and Materials Physics, specializing in developing theories and models for technologically important materials such as transition metal compounds. At Cambridge, Gian is based at the Centre for Materials Physics (Department of Materials Science), where he collaborates closely with the experimental effort in order to facilitate understanding and predict thermodynamic properties of caloric materials.
