During these testing times it’s reassuring to hear about all of the hard work being done by the Churchill Community to both manage and inform about the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as other work and achievements that have taken place. Here’s what has been happening in the last few days.
Fellow and Statistician Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter compared the risk of dying from COVID-19 and the risk of dying from other causes, and appeared on the Andrew Marr Show to comment on the government’s daily briefings.
Social psychologist Dr Sander van der Linden has spoken to ITV News Anglia about how the UK might “return to normal” after lockdown, and led a new study which suggests that Britons are the most concerned about the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fellow and Management Scientist Professor Danny Ralph commented on changes to how companies approach risk-management as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Senior Research Fellow and Computer Scientist Professor Ross Anderson discussed security concerns over the Covid-19 contact tracing app being developed.
