During these testing times it’s reassuring to hear about all of the hard work being done by the Churchill Community to both manage and inform about the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as other work and achievements that have taken place. Here’s what has been happening in the last few days.

COVID-19

Fellow and Statistician Professor Sir David Spiegelhalter discussed the impact of age on catching and dying of Covid-19 and how continued outbreaks in care homes risk extending the pandemic.

Economist Professor Diane Coyle wrote an opinion piece for The New York Times, asking why it took a pandemic to show how much unpaid work women do.

Senior Research Fellow and Computer Scientist Professor Ross Anderson continued to comment on the latest developments regarding the UK’s contract tracing app.
